I use mine several times a day – more often than anything else in the kitchen other than the normal hot/cold faucet and perhaps the stovetop burners.

I use it to make tea, cup of noodles, and to kick off a pot of boiling water (to make rice, quinoa, or pasta) much faster because I’m starting with 190F/90C water instead of 70F/20C. Less commonly I use it on a sponge to clean up a syrup or sticky mess better than cold water would and sometimes I use it on a tight metal jar lid – metal thermally expands more than glass and sticky food in the threads is softened.

It installs like a dishwashing soap dispenser with the 1- or 2-liter reservoir mounted in the cabinet below the sink. So you need to drill a new hole in your sink or order a 5-hole instead of a 4-hole sink.
